MIT Media Lab: Reality Mining
MIT Media Lab: Reality Mining
Crap 11 days without posting a thing...
- Finally, my shutters are getting installed today. I just hope I don't need to use them ;)
- I finally organized a lot of information I had sitting on my desk.... registered some domains, learned about form 941 and some other interesting tax information.
- It's hot in S. Florida.... I am glad I am not in the Mid-West though.
- I went Friday to the Hard Rock Cafe - Legends, not a very pleasant atmosphere though, and Saturday to Delray Beach - City Limits. It was fun to hang out with people I haven't seen in a while
- Honduras lost with the US, 2-1, in the last minute. The team did a great job but no championship!!!
- I learned how to play "Persiana Americana: Soda Stereo" in my e-guitar, "Start Me Up: Rolling Stones," and got more tabs from "Entre dos Tierras: Heroes del Sliencio"
- I've been running ... again... I want to get 4 miles per night my goal is 7-8 Mi/hour.
Private and encoded messages:
- I've been driving to Miami to ......
..... if you want to know why or what, just ask me. It's a far drive but I am excited about this. - Coffee... I like coffee specially in big amounts
- Wireless Networks... when am I going to get this going? Code Name: _Rapid_Mobility_
I'm kind of pissed off at Google, their crawler went to my website but I don't see it indexed... WTF... it's just because I have it in Yahoo's Hosting?
I posted many pictures at my new MSN Space area: http://spaces.msn.com/members/edwinhmFL

Damn Funny

and this one in spanish..
The international banks have given Honduras the status of: HIPC country (Highly Indebted Poor Country), which means that a portion of the 6 or 7 Billion dollars will be condoned and Honduras will be no logner liable for. Statistics indicate that Honduras budgets about 60% of its GDP (Gross Domestic Product) to pay for the service of the debt, or plain interests. In other words, Honduras has an "Interest Only Mortgage" with the country while doing reverse amortization. The only reason why the International Banks have not foreclosed.... hey I think they own the country so, indeed, they foreclosed it... anyways, it semes that big reductions on the payments are expected in the years to come. My HOPE is to see those extra moneys invested in infrastructure, better healthcare, and education.
Honduras Qualifies
Anyways, Colombia scored first with a penalty kick, and I thought, damn it! one more time, we lost again. My new friend, Ivan Guerrero No 23 and Honduran midfielder, was trying to penetrate the Colombian Defense with a killer pass, but Wilmer was not playing well, and Tyson.... neither.
The 1st half was terrible, as soon as the 2nd half started, and 20 minutes into the 2nd half, Honduran players look like if they were giving up.. but no, Honduras start putting speed into the game, just like that team that beat Brazil in 2001... and BOOM ... GOOOOOLLLL ... Golazo, Wilmer scored and Honduras tied 1:1. In less than 5 more minutes, the team scored a 2nd goal... Wilmer again... Wilmer QUE golazo!!! AZO AZO!!!... it went thru the corner of the goal. I got very excited, my sister was next to me, and the Orange Bowl was white and blue... We were in row-1 so I ran to wave a Honduran flag sitting on the stadium fence and I GOT CAUGHT ON TV during the celebrations.
I was impressed with my people, they never stop supporting the Honduran team.... Hondurans in Miami showed great support and love to their country. Right after the game, I went to the Hotel and met with Ivan Guerrero, Dani Turcios was signing authographs... it was all COOL. La ULTRA was happy and Honduras won.
Yesterday, I went again to support my team... Panama is no longer that easy to beat, Honduras had a rough time trying to win the game. Almost at the end of the 2nd half, Sammy Caballero scored un GOLAZO and Honduras beat PANAMA 1:0... A lot of people in the Stadium also, good crowd supporting Honduras.
Now we have to go and play COSTA RICA in Boston. ADELANTE SELECCION!!!!

Comet Tempel 1 will collide with NASA's probe, deep impact, tonight (tomorrow July 4th) at 1:53 AM EDT. It will be an amazing phenomena that some will observe in Latin America and Western Hemisphere. Since I am not in the western hemisphere.... FL might not be able to watch it, I will be waiting to see the comet's pictures via the internet but I will be outside looking in SW-W direction.. just in case.. The probe will be traveling at an amazing speed of 100 000 km/hr. liberating about 1.9 x 10^10 Joules of Energy.
